The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it's alarmed with regards to the higher variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The service point established for intervention ordeals a significant influx of sassa status possible beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to empower the servicing of all consumers and increase use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
